About Us

A bright pink classic car showcased at an outdoor event.

Rated 4.6 stars by over 150 members and guests, Saint Helens Elks Lodge #1999 has earned that reputation one plate and one handshake at a time. Perched along Belton Road with sweeping views of the Columbia River, this is the kind of place where you walk in a stranger and leave knowing half the room by name. The staff remember your order, the members remember your face, and the kitchen stays busy for good reason.

The Lodge runs on the BPOE's founding values of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity, but day-to-day that translates simply: a welcoming room, a full menu served lunch through dinner every single day, and a social calendar that keeps things moving year-round. From fundraising drives that benefit local families to casual Friday nights with friends, there is always a reason to come back.

St. Helens is a tight-knit town, and this Lodge reflects that. Members show up for each other the way neighbors used to, and guests feel that warmth from the moment they pull into the parking lot. If you have been looking for a place to put down roots in the community, this is a strong place to start.

What We Offer

The dining room at Lodge #1999 punches well above its weight. An extensive menu covers everything from the crowd-favorite shrimp salad to hearty lunch plates and full dinner entrees, all prepared fresh and served by staff who genuinely enjoy being there. Open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner, it is one of the most reliable sit-down options in St. Helens, and the river views from the dining area make every meal feel like a small occasion.

Beyond the table, the Lodge offers a full slate of member programming: social events, charitable fundraisers, holiday celebrations, and community service projects that connect members to the broader Columbia County area. Private event space is available for gatherings, and the bar provides a comfortable spot to unwind after a long week.

Membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks opens doors to a national network of over 800,000 members, local scholarship opportunities, and a community that takes care of its own. Whether you join for the food, the friendships, or the mission, you will find all three here.

"Excellent food with an extensive menu. Great views. IMO they could use a couple fans or some sort of abatement for the smoking on the outside patio. We were just visiting and I understand that's the designated smoking area. However, some folks might smoke but are just trying to eat dinner without smoke all around them."

"The St Helens Elks is a great place to dine and socialize. Good food, lots of menu choices, open for lunch and dinner every day, excellent shrimp salad and much more. Friendly staff and customers. Lots of windows providing beautiful views of the Columbia River and surrounding territory. This is also an awesome place to RV. There are about 10 reservable paved RV sites with full hookups. The sites back up to a forested area that is beautiful and quiet. The camp host is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We've been there twice this summer and love it. Gary & Marla McGrew"

"The guy robert that stays in the trailer saying he runs the place. is a very creepy rude person to be in charge. In my opinion i think he was on drugs or drunk having a bad day. The foul mouth around my kids is very much unacceptable. My family and i will never be back here again."

"Stayed here one night in July. Their RV area was undergoing upgrading/construction but they let us dry camp on the side of the main lot. Was the MOST beautiful lodge I have ever seen. The people were very welcoming. The restaurant had windows and a deck with a view across the river! Tuesday Taco night was the best I have ever had! We wish we could have stayed longer, and we look forward to coming back and seeing you all soon! Thanks for the hospitality!"
